I'm in a profession that lives and dies by deadlines and one is looming. As a self employed person I must be my own self motivator.
If I say I'm going to get things done, write it down, post it for the world, that's what I'll do.
Right? Right.
Wish me luck. I'll let you know in a few days if this motivational technique worked.

Why is it that the older I get, I have trouble motivating myself to start and then finish tasks? Is it that few of them really matter and I now have the perspective to realize it and the confidence to ignore them? Or, is it that I am becoming too easily distracted? Becky
The next time I comment I'm not going to do it on my iPhone and without my now necessary reading glasses. I jyst re-read it and realized I left out my conclusion. I'll save it for next time. I'm sure it was very profound.
Becky, you are totally right. I've found it somehow always gets done, and I often now do things I wouldn't have thought I had time for (like blogging.) It's a combination of perspective and also realizing that sometimes things really can get done without you.
